Statement of Our Faith The Glory Land OUR FAITH,

We Are Baptist
By this we mean that we hold to the historic beliefs and practices which have prevailed among Baptists from the time of Jesus. In every period of time, since Christ established His church during His earthly ministry, there have been churches who were Baptist in faith and practice. They did not always wear the name Baptist, but they believed and practiced Baptist doctrine, which is none other than Bible doctrine.

We Are Fundamental
By this we mean, that we accept the so-called fundamentals of the faith as opposed to modernism which denies the fundamentals of the faith. We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Scriptures, the Genesis account of creation, the Virgin Birth of Christ, His sinless life, His blood atonement, His glorious bodily resurrection, His ascension, and His second coming.

We Are Independent

We are not independent to do as we please, but we are independent and unaffiliated, in order that we might do as God pleases. God forbid that we should ever want to be independent from God. We are not “affiliated with” nor do we “belong to” any association or convention. Jesus established the local New Testament Church, and we do not believe that He established any convention or association to lord it over the churches. It is our contention that a true church cannot scripturally join anything nor become affiliated with any outside religious organization.

Churches may work together in the work of Christ, but should beware of entangling alliances which bring them under the domination of boards and denominational secretaries. Conventions, associations, and other like denominational organizations are usually started by men of good faith, but they enter into such organizations without one verse of Scriptural authority. Eventually these extra-Scriptural organizations become the citadels of compromise and doctrinal laxness, with an insatiable desire to dominate and lord it over the churches.

Why many future Pastors may quit

1, It's a very hard job.

2,It's a very low paying job, If you are preaching the truth.

3.You will work more than forty hours, If you are preaching the truth.

4.If you are using the KJV your members will try to make you change,or change your style of preaching or say something like they don't understand it.

5.You will get tired of your members or leaders telling you, what you must do" or can do.

6,People can drive you crazy if you let them.

7,But if you can hang on,the LORD will bless you now and when you get to Heaven. You will be up in rank with the big guys.

      " YOU CHOOSE"

The Gospel According to Saint John

Chapter 5

After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

Jesus saith unto him, Rise
, takes up thy bed, and walk.

And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.

He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.

Then asked they him,
What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?

And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.

Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus,
which had made him whole.

And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

1, Moving of the water.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS ALIVE AND MOVING TODAY.

2, For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool

PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A SIGN OR WONDERS FROM ABOVE.

3, Infirmity

WE ARE ALL SICK, DUE TO OUR SINS.

4, Jesus saw him

JESUS LOVES US.

5, Jesus saith unto him, Rise,

JESUS WHANT TO COME INTO YOUR LIFE.

6, Immediately the man was made whole,

NOTTHING IS IMPOSIBLE FOR THEM THAT TRUST IN THE LORD

7, Jews therefore said unto him that was cured

THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU" DO NOT WANT TO BELIEVE IN HIM.

8, Take up thy bed, and walk.

WE MUST OBAY GOD AND PUT OUR TRUST ONLY IN HIM AND NOT MAN.

9, Then asked they him,

WHO IS YOUR GOD?

10, The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus,

MY LORD AND SAVIOUR IS JESUS CHRIST.

11. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

THE WORLD REJECTED OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST AND CONTINUE TO FOLLOW TRADITIONS.

"You are not a Christian because "

You are not a Christian because there are to many hypocrites.

You are not a Christian because there are to many religions.

You are not a Christian because you do not what to leave your bad habits.

You are not a Christian because you do not what to change your look.

You are not a Christian because you are gay or a lesbian.

You are not a Christian because you think there might be more God's.

You are not a Christian because you are afraid too.

         "Why am I a Christian "

Well let me just say that I have Hope and that I am standing on the promises of God, which the Bible says He cannot lie.

All other Religions fall Short to the Gospel of Christ.

And there are no other that had came back from the dead but Jesus Christ.

Even the atheist believe that Jesus walk on this earth.

And the calendar that we use is before and after Christ.

So please do not do like many that perish non believers at there last breath they say God help me.

Why wait for that last moment ?

If you were God Would you give that person that last chance ?

He would"

But are you going to take that chance ?

Hello to all who read this post.

Why  ?

I will love you to come to my church but what you need to do
is first get Saved and accept Jesus Christ as your Personal Saviour.

Going to church your faith will grow but the church will not save you.

You must find a good Bible Preaching church"

Late Dr. Art Wilson Evangelist

July 24, 2009 by thegloryland

Dr. Art Wilson Evangelist

Evangelist, preacher, pastor, church planter, teacher, author, poet, composer. He preached in every state of the Union and in multiple nations on every continent, but Antartica. He delivered the word of God to large congregations and to small assemblies. He was equally at home preaching to thousands as he was in witnessing to one. He was motivated by his gratitude for the grace of salvation, his passion for the lost, and his fervor for the return of the LORD Jesus Christ. He established a record and faithfully, consistently remained anchored to his convictions, unmoved by the ebb and flow of popularity, not searching for the wave of applause. He was a man to whom the stewardship of the gospel ministry meant the solemn lifelong responsibility of the obligation of duty. He was a preacher who lived to preach and who preached even as he was dying.

Christians Mouth And Tongues

May 25, 2009 by thegloryland

Luke 6:45   A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Titus 1:11   Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

James 3:10   Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
Jude 1:16   These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

Revelation 3:16   So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Sins of the tongue make for serious problems among the people of God. Harsh and angry words and false and foolish doctrines, spoken by worldly-minded Church members and leaders cause untold damage to the cause of Christ. The answer is a LIVING, and REAL FAITH that can control the tongue! The mature Christians has his tongue under the control of Christ.

1. Control the horse's bits and you control the horse. v. 3. The tongue must be controlled to control the man. The bit controls the horse, if the bit is controlled by a skilled hand.

2. Control the helm (rudder) and you control the ship, so it is with the tongue. v. 4. The rudder must be controlled by a strong hand. The tongue must be controlled by the strong hand of Christ. Prov. 15: 1, A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. Prov. 12:22, Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight. Prov. 10:19, In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

3. The fire and the tongue are both capable of good and evil. v. 5. Careless use of matches can start a great forest fire. Some church members start fires in the church by a careless tongue. Prov. 26:20-21, Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth. As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife. Prov. 18:21, Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Christians And Credit Cards

May 25, 2009 by thegloryland

1 Timothy 6:10   For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Mark 4:19   And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

Luke 8:14   And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

Romans 11:12   Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
1 Timothy 6:17   Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

Christian or Non Christians should stay away from getting into debt. This also Means Credit Cards. Focus on what you need not what you want.

Churches should not be taking Credit Cards putting their Members into debt which's brings family problems then divorce.

Most Christians don't or can't afford paying off their Credit Cards off at the End of the Month.

Should you tithe with your Credit Card?

No, not if this means your going to have to be paying Interest. The LORD doesn't want you to get into debt. He doe's want us to  be faithful, but not the Credit Cards way.

I know that many will not agree with me like always. But this could be also that they want your Money.

I don't

Guit, Fear & Intimidation

April 18, 2009 by thegloryland

What has caused many independent, fundamental Baptist church members to live in bondage to a set of man-made, extra-Biblical rules or standards? Why would good, church going folks submit themselves to this 'spiritual' abuse? Why have so many God-fearing, good Christians been duped by well meaning, sincere but blinded or beguiled Pastors? These Pastors are trapped in this spiritual system and sadly are not even aware of it. Whay can be done to help these hyper-spiritual people who are ensared in this trap? Is there a motivating factor that has brought about this sect of fundamentalism? I believe that guilt, fear & intimidation have been the motivating factors that are being used to keep good Christians repressed into a "Phariseeical" role that they are being forced to play.

Hebrews 2:14-15 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

The fear of death has been used to try and keep unsaved people from getting saved. The Devil has imitated this philosophy into IFBx (Independent, Fundamental Baptist Extremist) churches and has beguiled Preachers into using guilt, fear & intimidation to berate their flock into serving God. The following are just a sampling of the ways that these Preachers use guilt, fear & intimidation to have their members fulfill their own wishes. The first part explains the guilt, fear or intimidation that is used to coerce members to fulfill the second part.

1. Fear of losing their ministry - Must wear a white shirt and tie.
2. Fear of being called out from the pulpit - Must go forward during the invitation.
3. Fear of death or injury - Must not touch the Lord's anointed.
4. Fear of being looked down upon - Must stand or raise your hand if going Soul Winning.
5. Fear of disapproval - Must win 1 or 10 souls to Christ in a week.
6. Fear of being labeled as disloyal - Must not talk or fellowship those who have left the church.
7. Fear of being labeled as disloyal - Must forsake your family, they take you away from church.
8. Fear of being fired - Must pledge and give to 'Give-it-all' Sunday.
9. Fear of emotional abuse - Must not ever disagree with the Preacher.
10. Fear of physical abuse - Must not ever disagree with the Preacher publicly.
11. Fear of what others think - Must not disagree with the Preachers views on anything.
12. Fear of being labeled as disloyal - The Preachers preference has to be your conviction.

Today And Tomorrow Christian Action News

Today And Tomorrow Christian Action News by TGL

General Information The American Family Association (AFA)

Who is AFA? Who is Donald Wildmon?

Has AFA Made an Impact?

Does AFA Hate Homosexuals?

Does AFA Support Censorship?

What Can I Do to Help?

Who is AFA?

AFA is for people who are tired of cursing the darkness and who are ready to light a bonfire. We are a non-profit (501(c)(3)) organization founded in 1977 by Don Wildmon. The American Family Association represents and stands for traditional family values, focusing primarily on the influence of television and other media – including pornography – on our society. AFA believes that the entertainment industry, through its various products, has played a major role in the decline of those values on which our country was founded and which keep a society and its families strong and healthy. For example, over the last 25 years we have seen the entertainment industry "normalize" and glorify premarital sex. During that time we have suffered a dramatic increase in teen pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases such as AIDS and abortion as a means of birth control. We believe in holding accountable the companies which sponsor programs attacking traditional family values. We also believe in commending those companies which act responsibly regarding programs they support. AFA supporters receive a monthly letter about a specific issue with a recommended action such as sending a postcard or making a phone call. In addition, supporters receive the AFA Journal with news on various moral and family issues.

— Top — Who is Don Wildmon?

Donald E. Wildmon is an ordained United Methodist minister, having earned his MDiv. from Emory College in 1965. After serving in the U.S. Army's Special Services he pastored churches from 1965 until he founded National Federation for Decency in 1977. NFD became American Family Association in 1988. Don and his wife Lynda have four children and five grandchildren. He knows first-hand the battle parents face today teaching their families traditional moral values. Don tells in his own words how AFA was founded: "One evening in 1977 I sat down with my family to watch TV. On one channel was adultery, on another cursing, on another a man beating another over the head with a hammer. I asked the children to turn off the TV. I sat there, got angry, and said, 'They're going to bring this into my home, and I'm going to do all I can to change it. "I brooded for a while and then came up with a plan for our church to turn off the TV for a week. I sent out a press release and the national media picked up on it. "Through that 'Turn Off The TV Week' I learned there were literally millions of other people around the country who felt the same way I did. That was the beginning of the American Family Association." —

Top — Has AFA Made an Impact? The impact of AFA is recognized nationwide. Don Wildmon and other AFA personnel have appeared on programs such as Good Morning America, The Today Show, MacNeill Lehrer Report, Nightline, The 700 Club, Meet the Press, Crossfire, and Focus on the Family. AFA is a long-time member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. Disney/ABC cancels the pro-homosexual show Ellen, for "lack of ratings." AFA led the campaign to encourage responsible advertisers to drop from the show.

AFA and other pro-family groups sponsored a rally in support of Judge Roy Moore of Alabama who refused to remove the Ten Commandments from his courtroom. AFA leads the effort to clean up Howard Stern Radio Show. To date, over 2/3rds off all advertisers dropped from the show in monitored areas.

AFA promotes Pornography Awareness Week AFA distributes 400,000 copies of the the "Fight Back Book," a comprehensive resource guide of TV advertisers, products and addresses.

AFA supports and promotes Shatter the Silence, a national observance to bring attention to religious persecution throughout the world. AFA leads efforts to expose abuses of tax dollars by National Endowment for the Arts. The 43 Federal Prisons removed porn magazines from their commissaries after efforts by AFA supporters.

The Southland Corporation, owners and franchisers of the 7-Eleven convenience store chain, along with 30,000 other convenience stores pulled porn magazines from shelves after intensive boycotting and picketing by AFA.

In 1994, AFA launched a "war on divorce," by helping develop and distribute the Marriage Savers video series.

AFA has promoted successful boycotts of several national advertisers because they were leading sponsors of TV sex, violence and profanity. Because of the boycotts, some companies - including Burger King, Clorox and S. C. Johnson - have changed their advertising policies.

— Top — Does AFA Hate Homosexuals?

Absolutely Not! The same Holy Bible that calls us to reject sin, calls us to love our neighbor. It is that love that motivates us to expose the misrepresentation of the radical homosexual agenda and stop its spread though our culture. AFA has sponsored several events reaching out to homosexuals and letting them know there is love and healing at the Cross of Christ.

— Top — Does AFA Support Censorship? AFA does not support "censorship." Censorship, by definition is government imposed.

What AFA does support is responsibility. Producers and advertisers alike realize that what people see and hear does affect them. (If this were not true, they would not pay the astronomical fees for advertising.) Our belief is that if we can encourage advertisers to sponsor only quality programming, then networks and producers will not have the financial encouragement to produce shows diametrically opposed to the traditional family.

— Top — What Can I Do to Help? There is much you can do. First, Pray daily for this ministry and our country. Get informed. Sign up to join our mailing lists. We will keep you informed on the battles going on, as well as how you can help. Consider making a financial gift. We promise to be good stewards of what ever gift you can give.
